Dr. Brette Lansue
Ph. D., R. Psych.
Dr. Brette Lansue is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She provides a variety of assessments for toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults who present with learning, social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties. Dr. Lansue specializes in evaluating and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders in children and youth with and without medical conditions.
Dr. Lansue received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology) at the University of Windsor. She completed her training at a number of prominent institutions, including The Children’s Center (TCC) in Detroit, MI, the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, ON, and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa, ON. Dr. Lansue currently works as a staff pediatric neuropsychologist at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, where she conducts neuropsychological assessments and works within multi-disciplinary teams to support children, adolescents, and their families.
In her work, Dr. Lansue uses her knowledge of brain development and brain functioning to help children and their caregivers understand why they are experiencing challenges and to provide strength-based, comprehensive recommendations to foster growth and development. She has a compassionate and collaborative approach to her work and is passionate about empowering youth and their families to harness their unique strengths to overcome challenges. Dr. Lansue also provides consultation to caregivers of toddlers and young children to help manage difficult behaviours and promote strong parent-child relationships, using evidence-based parenting techniques. Dr. Lansue is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist with PCIT-International.
Outside of work, Dr. Lansue enjoys being outdoors, watching a good true-crime documentary, and spending time with her husband, friends, and German Shepherd.
